Fire Prevention and Consultation-
As firefighters our main concern is your safety. Fires in the home occur everyday. In fact statics show there are 117 million house fires worldwide every year. A fire in the home can be devastating if not fatal. Smoke detectors and Carbon monoxide detectors need to be checked frequently. Have an escape plan and practice it. 
A Sooty Solution is proud to have our very own fire instructor. We teach the community fire safety. Fire extinguisher use, kitchen fires and general fire safety is something everyone should know. Our staff can provide a walk through of your home pointing out potential fire hazards. We can also give your children a chance to see what it's like to be up close to a real firefighter. The turn out gear and noises our respirators make can be scary for some children. It's our job to teach them about fire safety and that a firefighter is always a friend. The video below is a good example of what it truly is like inside a room that is on fire. Visibility is near zero and the heat can exceed several hundred degrees. The video shows a Christmas tree catching on fire. You can see the point in which objects in the room spontaneously combust and the thermal plains reach the floor creating a pitch black environment.
