Tuck Pointing
 Tuck pointing-
The mortar in between the bricks are called the mortar joints.  Sometimes due to age and weather these joints can become rotten and crumble out. They become loose and sometimes even fall out, leaving missing joints and loose bricks.  Tuck pointing is the process of removing the old and missing mortar joints and then replacing it with new mortar.  The new mortar is tucked into the joint from the outside, hence the name
"tuck pointing."
